Family Gathering

With just a little imagination and style, family gatherings can be elegant as well as warm and welcoming.  Lots of love, hospitality and thoughtfulness went into the planning of this family reunion.  Family members attended from all over Southern California.  Colorful flowers and hearty plants were combined with seashells and delicate starfish for a San Diego surf and turf theme. flowers provided by Embellishmint Floral & Event Design Studio

Spanish Inspired Engagement Dinner

This happy bride and groom to be opted for a Modern Spanish-themed engagement party at a private residence in Rancho Santa Fe.  The Spanish guitarist was inspired by a La Jolla Music Society event The Spanish Guitarist, Pablo Sainz-Villegas  played a recital indoors.  Paella, tapas, and sangria was served on tables  decorated  boldly and brilliantly, combining red flowers from Dawn at Embellishment Floral Design with delicate, intricate black and red chocolate favors by Sobelle Chocolates and white chairs, candles, and candelabras. The guests  were dazzled when they stepped outside in the evening and discovered a spectacle of colors that radiated and changed from Lucite furniture by Kool Party Rental.  Emilio Azevedo the photographer captured the contrast between the white light  of the day and the spectacular, amazing brilliance of colors in the evening to include green light accented by the clear inviting water of the illuminated pool.

Old Fashion Candy Bar

A candy bar is a creative idea to offer sweets and is very popular with all ages.  This particular candy bar was stocked with traditional old fashioned candies, but not for long.  It was so tempting, the sour belts, fruit salad gummies, chocolate malts, old fashion gumballs, unicorn pops, lollipops and fruit slices were consumed within the first hour.  This candy bar was a real hit!

50th Wedding Anniversary Surprise Party!

Think after 50 years of marriage there are no surprises?  Think again.  When you have 3 beautiful children and a wonderful family, surprises are bound to happen.  The sons and daughter put their sibling heads together and surprised their lovely parents with a party to celebrate 50 years of marital bliss! The party planning went without a hitch; Mom and Dad were so surprised! The theme was Rio de Janeiro in honor of their father who traveled there and fell in love. It is his favorite vacation destination.  It rained outside but inside there was a festive fun celebration going on as the parents renewed their vows and were blessed by the priest. The centerpieces were coordinated with masks and boas. The family was entertained by a video sent from family members who live abroad. At the end of the event, the parents expressed that the day would be etched in their minds FOREVER! 

Every Event Planner’s Dream Couple

On July 2, 2011, Dream Event 4 You designed a beautiful wedding reception at the Rancho Bernardo Inn.  Tina and Nick’s grand entrance was indeed grand!  The beautiful couple participated in a traditional Lebaneze grand entrance accompanied by a Zaffe in full traditional attire. The bridal party had 12 bridesmaids and 400 guests attended this spectacular reception.  It was a gorgeous summer day and the bride and groom were every event planner’s dream.  The happy couple and their guests dined to a four course meal along with drinks by The Wine Connection.  They were entertained by a dj and a band and danced until the wee hours of the morning.  Sliders with French fries were served as a midnight snack.  A candy bar was designed by Dream Event 4 You.  Watch our next blog for details about the old fashion treats!
